i saw the maccabees on tuesday... very unlike me i have to admit but a bit of pure pop is very much needed sometimes. it was a good set, they didn't play for long enough though and they kicked us out at 10:30 i mean come on people. also some radomer thought it was okay to grope my head... so not okay! they didn't play one of my favourite songs though which was poo and as it happens i can't find the video i was thinking of but i particularly like this one from a creative point of view: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j44-GTlOU6k
i was also wearing the best t-shirt ever, i bought it last tuesday when we all bunked college and went into london, i got it from this little clothing exchange place on the edge of soho. it was only £10 and everyone was telling me how nice i looked all day so it was defo worth the money!
and of course everyone knows that flamingoes are the best birds... mostly for the camp value
wednesday i had the girls round after college for a evening of junk food and movies. during lunch we all went out and bought matching pjs like the 13 year old girls we wish we were. you can't deny that look alot like medical scrubs but for £5 from primark you can't really go wrong.
thursday and friday i worked all day, but i won't bore you with the horrific details
now don't get me started about saturday, Dagger came home from uni! we had a fabulous time shopping then nandos then another gig! i spent alot of money that i shouldn't have and got these t-shirts:
which lets face it i needed in my t-shirt collection
then we popped over to shepards bush market for a nandos pitta and then on to bush hall for Jay Brannan. now most people have never heard of Jay but you must listen to his music because he is amazing!
he was stunning! and is also on myspace and facebook so add him!
oh i almost forgot to mention that he was in pop's 20th anniversary animal issue last season, here he is:
i have to admit that i felt rather impressed by the fact that i already knew who he was when i read this... this is how lame i am. but anyway find him and send him some love because we all love him
i also felt the need to mention these shoes i bought last week, i saw them sitting on the sale self and had to snapthem up... i think they are kind of ugly and cute and amazing all at the same time and my dad thinks the laces look like liquorice. and i thought these pied a terre creations were are bargain at £35 especially as they were reduced from £110!
anyway i should probably go and get some college work done or get showered and change out of my pjs
see you next time
lady of the house of love
